Charles "Charley" Leland Johnson was born September 27, 1936 in Kilgore, Texas to Albert Leland and Vida Johnson. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 26 years. He worked for over 40 years as a retail representative in sales and marketing. Charley enjoyed fishing, gardening, and sports, especially Nascar. Surviving Charley are his loving wife, Elena C. Johnson; children, Michael Johnson and wife Theresa of Fayetteville, AR, Liane Durham of Austin, TX, Meshell Leising and husband Kevin of Dallas, TX, Glenn Daniel and wife Gulza of Killeen, TX, Tanya Carpenter and Brad Gray of Killeen, TX, and Nathan Daniel and wife Brianna of Florida; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nephew, Bobby Britt and wife Lori; and niece, LaDonna Pack and husband Garland. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one daughter, Elaine. We will all miss his spirited nature, wisdom and loving heart.
