A memorial service for Charles Edward Hughes, 66, of Elysian Fields and Waskom, TX, will be held at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home in Marshall. Mr. Hughes passed away August 27, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. Charles Edward Hughes was born May 2, 1949 in Hodge, LA to Charles Earl Hughes and Louise Kern Hughes. He was self-employed for 44 years in Steel Structural Design. Surviving Mr. Hughes are his wife, Jada Hughes of Elysian Fields; step-children, Katilyn Woodley, Kelsey Wigington both of Marshall, Kara Reeh of Boosier City, LA, Caleb Wilcox of Elysian Fields; and other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Louise Hughes and a grandchild, Brantley Jean Wigington.
