A Memorial service for Charles "Shorty" Muse, 56 of Longview will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday September 25, 2016 in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Mr. Muse passed away September 20, 2016 in Cass Co.

Charles "Shorty "Muse was born November 20, 1959 in Longview, Texas the son of Charles Lindberg Muse and Betty Champion Muse. On January 31, 1977, he married Donna Marie Lueking. Charles was a member of East Texas Goats (G.T.O.) club. He enjoyed classic rock music. He also liked all kinds of electronics, including stereos, computers and big screen televisions.

Surviving Charles are his wife of 39 years, Donna Muse; one son, Dustin Muse both of Longview and two grandchildren, Melanie Muse and Damon Muse. Also surviving him are a number of half brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Mike Muse.
