Funeral services for Charles A. Williams, 56, of Waskom, TX, will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Longridge Cemetery, Waskom, TX. Mr. Williams passed away January 14, 2014 in Marshall, TX. Charles A. Williams was born in Marshall, TX to the parentage of Charles H. and Alma C. Williams. He received his education in Marshall where he graduated from Marshall High School. He has worked for the City of Marshall for over 30 years. He was a heavy equipment operator. Charles later met and married Bonnie M. Perry and was married for 27 years. He liked to hunt and fish, and loved his nieces and nephews and family with a very special cousin, Joseph W. Sneed. A life now in Eternity, Charles A. Williams answered the Master's call on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles H. Williams and his grandparents, 3 uncles and 1 aunt. Those left to treasure his memory are his mother, Alma C. Bailey (Willie), wife Bonnie M. Williams; and 2 sisters Diane Holmes (Paul) and Sandra L. Williams; son, Christopher Matthews; and uncles, Charles Sneed (Glenda), Kenneth Perkins (Naomi), Roshern Amie of El Paso, TX; 3 aunts, Geneva Mosley of LaMarque, TX and Cecile Graves of Marshall, TX and Ruby Faye Sneed; many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends; and a good friend, Carol McClellan.
