Charles "Charlie" Winston Hearne, Jr. was born in Marshall, Texas on July 25, 1955, to Ms. Juanita McAfee and Charles Hearne. He was educated in the Marshall, Texas school system. Primary education was at J.H. Moore and H.B. Pemberton High School Class of 1973 and a graduate with Honors from Wiley College.

After Charles' college graduation, he went to Los Angeles, California and worked as an Office Administrator for Exxon Corporation in Pasadena. Subsequently returning to Texas, Charles resided in Sherman, working as a Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counselor and Probation Officer in Grayson County. Upon his retirement, Charles devoted himself to caring for his maternal grandmother, Ms. Julia McAfee until her passing. Faithfully visiting his ailing uncle, William McAfee, Sr. and when his father, Charles Sr. became ill, Charles Jr. was devoted to his care. Charles was the family photographer for many years. He was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the library and was a British history enthusiast.

Charles was very loyal to his family and even when he had health issues, he would pay weekly visits to his aunt, Mrs. Ruby Britt. Charles was preceded in death by his mother and father and his grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Charles leaves to mourn, his brother, Ronald L. Hearne, Marshall, TX; his uncle, John McAfee (Karen); his aunt Ruby Britt; his cousins, Denise Britt Little, Patricia Britt Roberson, Lanell Bowens, Damen K. Britt and a host of other relatives and friends.
