Funeral service for Charlotte Ann Byrd, 68, of Marshall will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 26, 2012 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Bro. Geno Munds will officiate. Interment will follow in Grange Hall Cemetery. The family and friends will have a time of visitation from 4 - 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Byrd passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012. Mrs. Byrd was born October 2, 1943 in Hodge, Louisiana, to Garvin Prather and Cecil Irene Edenfield Hadwin. She married John Preston Byrd on November 7, 1975 and was blessed with five children. Mrs. Byrd is survived by sons, John Paul Byrd of Laneville and Gary Byrd of Marshall; daughters, Linda Ann Byrd and Sherry Byrd, both of Marshall and Gail Evans (Chris) of Springville, TN; mother, Irene Hadwin of Marshall; sisters, Glenda Cochran (Bobby) of Kilgore, Dale Crow (Benny) of Nacogdoches, Cherry Black of Hallsville and Darlene Hadwin of Marshall; grandchildren, Elizabeth Long, Brooke McNatt, Shyann Byrd, Page Brann, Shelby Byrd, Jenah Coleman, Dustin Brann and Kayden Johnson. She was preceded in death by her father, Garvin Prather Hadwin. Pallbearers will be Mark Sarrubi, John Paul Byrd, Gary Byrd, Brian Holt, Mark Black and Michael Sarrubi.
