A memorial service for Charlotte Ann Gray Madewell 73, of Longview, Texas will be held at Downs Funeral Home at 2:00p.m. Sunday, May 27, 2018.

Charlotte Ann Gray Madewell was born August 11, 1944 to Charlie Thomas Lewis and Evelyn McDonald Lewis in Houston, Texas. Mrs. Madewell was very active in AA. Charlotte had a lot of hobbies she loved to do in her free time like, making floral arrangements, dancing, being on the beach or Caddo Lake, gardening and planting flowers. She had a heart for animals, cows, horses, humming birds, and dogs especially her little "Grayce". Mrs. Madewell loved having her morning devotional with her coffee.

Mrs. Madewell is survived by children, Tonja Gray Bolander and husband, Blake of Marshall, TX, Annette Gray Acker of Jefferson, TX, and Keitha Gray Calvert and husband, Richard of Dallas, TX; sister, Betty Lewis Laakson of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Brooke Bolander of Brooklyn, NY, Autumn Groth and husband, Ben of Longview, TX, Kendall Ann Calvert of Denver, CO, and Randal Lee Calvert of Denver, CO.

Preceding Mrs. Madewell in death are her parents, Charlie T. Lewis and Evelyn McDonald Lewis; husbands, Thomas A. Gray, and Paul L Madewell.
