A graveside service for Charlotte Ramsey, 77, of Oakland, Arkansas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Blocker Cemetery in Marshall, Texas. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Downs Funeral Home.

Charlotte was born on January 13, 1946, in Atlanta, Texas to Johnie Leonard Wiggins and Opal Maurine Hall and passed away on February 10, 2023, in Oakland, Arkansas.

She married John Preston Ramsey on April 6, 1979, in Marshall, Texas and the two remained married until her passing. She loved camping and embroidering. Her two favorite hobbies were traveling and camping along with viewing wildlife scenery and being in the outdoors. She loved working as a paralegal for over 30 years. She was a very good cook and loved cooking for her family when they were around. She loved her dog Prissy, who was a rescue dog. Most of all she loved her family and grandkids and spending time with them.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnie and Opal Wiggins; her son, Chris Scoggins and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband, John Ramsey; children, Jena Scoggins, Dawn Madigan and husband, Jim and Shana Meador and husband, Jason; daughter in law, Brandy Scoggins; 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren along with other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society.
