Memorial service for Christina Michele Goins Harris will be held at 2p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Joe Hall officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 at Downs Funeral Home.

On March 12, 2018 Christina Michele Goins Harris passed gently after a battle with breast cancer. She was born on March 24, 1967 in Jonesboro, Louisiana.

She was a member of Nesbitt Volunteer Fire Department. Mrs. Harris attended Cowboy Church of Harrison County for 10 years. In her free time she always loved to be either reading or gardening. The thing Chris was most proud of was her family, and she was loved by them until the very end.

Mrs. Harris is preceded in death by her parents, Martha and Larry Goins and her grandparents, Ruby and Doyle Stewart.

She is survived by her husband and best friend of 33 years, David Eugene Harris. Not only were they married for all these years, they worked side by side, heart to heart for over 25 years. Mrs. Harris is also survived by her brother, Larry Goins, Jr. of Bernice, Louisianna; sister, Penny Current and husband, Tyrone; daughter, Renee Ashcraft and son, Cody Ashcraft; grandchildren, Aly and Eli Ashcraft; son, David James Harris and daughter, Sheila Harris; daughter, Frances Nicole Harris and son, Josh Dennis; daughter Jessica Michelle Harris and son, Bill Foster.
