A graveside service for Chris Wells, 57, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 6, 2023, at Woods Cemetery in Panola County, Texas. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the cemetery.

Chris was born on September 30, 1966, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Larry Wells and Suzanne Simmons Wells and passed away on November 2, 2023, in Longview, Texas.

He was raised in Shreveport and Bossier City and graduated from Parkway High School. He was a two time All District Lineman and also excelled in baseball. He was one of six Panthers ever to be named to the Shreveport Times All City Team twice. He attended Northwestern State University. He enjoyed fishing, golf, Harley Davidson Motorcycles and sports. He attended River Crossing Cowboy Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Wells; uncle, David Simmons and his mother-in-law, Maria Baldwin Pleasant.

He is survived by his mother, Suzanne Simmons Wells Frazier; step mom, Dixie Wells; his wife, Sarah Hairgrove Wells; children, Matthew Hairgrove and Jonathan Hairgrove and wife, Jessica; brothers, Scott Wells and wife, Heather and Tanner Frazier and wife, Elise; sister, Shannon Amidon; brother in laws, Jim Baldwin and Richard Baldwin and wife, Susan; grandchildren, Lilly, Olivia and Hudson Hairgrove and Madilyn and Masen Hairgrove; nephews, Josey Wells, Cody Amidon, Colby Amidon and Alex Robinson and four fur boys, Roscoe, Sammy, Blue and Sherman along with other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in his honor to the American Kidney Foundation and/or the American Heart Association.
