A funeral service for Christopher Howard Dunn "Superman", 48, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 2, 2025, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 1, 2025, at the funeral home.

Chris was born on February 26, 1977, in Jefferson, Texas to Howard Claude Dunn Jr. and Kathy Lynn Doss and passed away on July 30, 2025, in Marshall, Texas.

He was pure country and loved anything he could do outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing and sports. He loved drinking and doing crazy things. He loved baseball and was one of the "best" pitchers of all times starting in t-ball. He loved the game! Most of all he was a family man and was a dad to everyone, including his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Lynn Doss Dunn and daughter, Christa Jewel Dunn.

He is survived by his father, Howard Claude Dunn, Jr.; wife, Mary Dunn; daughters, Ally Dunn and Morgan Dunn and sisters, M'Lisa Dunn and Glenn McBride and Penny Dunn along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
