A Funeral Service for Christy Lynn Foley Fulbright, 48, of Marshall will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bob Bryant officiating and Glenn Perry speaker. Visitation will take place from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Downs Funeral Home. Christy passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 in Longview.

Christy Lynn Foley Fulbright was born March 27, 1968 in the Darnell Army Hospital in Fort Hood, Texas to Jerry and Patricia Foley. Christy was a graduate of Marshall High School. After graduation she attended Blinn College and later East Texas Baptist University. Christy married her soulmate Jeff Fulbright in Marshall, Texas on February 11, 1994. She was a Secretary for her dad at Jerry's Auto Parts and Service for many years. She attended First United Methodist and Cypress Valley Churches. Christy was a loving wife, step-mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, and friend to many. A lifelong resident of Marshall, Christy was known by many, loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Christy lived life to its fullest every day. Together, Christy and Jeff traveled to many destinations. She showed herself to be a real trooper going on two African Safaris. She never shied away from a stalk. On an adventure in Botswana, Christy and Jeff were charged by a big female elephant. In Christy's words, "that big long nose thingy!" Christy yelled at Jeff, "if you let that thing get me, my daddy will get you!" Everything turned out well on that day and many others. Christy would follow Jeff anywhere at any time whether it be a trip to West Texas for a deer hunt or to Costa Rica to catch sailfish. She loved her pets and always fed the animals that wandered into her yard. She always smiled and could make you laugh. Christy never met a stranger.

Those left to cherish the many memories of Christy are her husband, Jeff Fulbright of Marshall; sons, Jacob and wife, Emily of Marshall, Pierce Fulbright of Marshall; parents, Jerry and Pat Foley of Marshall; her twin sister, Misty Lynn Foley and Tony Cupples of Marshall; grandmother, Dorothy Muse of Marshall; father and mother-in-law Jim and Charlene Fulbright of Marshall; brother-in-law, Sam Fulbright and wife, Jerri Lynn of Marshall; and her furry friend, Norman.

Preceding her in death are her grandparents, Arthur and Vera Foley and William "Bill" Muse.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Harry McGee, Mark Reynolds, Billy McWhorter, Joseph Black, Gary Arthur and Frankie Arthur. Carlos Black, Mitch "Bo" Ready and Don Nutt will serve as an Honorary Pallbearers.

The family request memorials are made to Cypress Valley Bible Church, Marshall or the Pet Place.
