Funeral services for Christy Lynn Moon, 38, of Marshall, TX will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2014 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Briggs officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Spring Ridge, LA. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Moon passed away October 26, 2014 in Shreveport, LA due to injuries from an automobile accident. Christy Lynn Coffey Moon was born July 15, 1976 in Shreveport, LA to James Aarion Coffey and Claudia Faye Ragsdale Coffey. She attended Elysian Fields Schools, and was a member of Walnut Springs Baptist Church. Christy married William Moon IV. She was a homemaker. Surviving Christy are her husband, William Moon of Marshall; her son, Cody Ray Oden; her mother, Claudia Little of Elysian Fields; siblings, Billy Ray Coffey of California, Charles Kelley of Arkansas, Debbie Duty of Louisiana, Lori Boyd of Texas, Pam Locke of Tennessee, Brady Scott of Tennessee and Kevin Kelley of South Carolina; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Christie was preceded in death by her father, James Coffey and a brother, Kenneth Coffey. Pallbearers will be Lynn Gregory, Kyle Booker, David Futrell, Bubba Ingram, Jeff Atkins and Larry Moore.
