A Celebration of Life will be held for Clarence Donell Jefferson, Sr., at 2:00p.m., Saturday, September 16, 2017 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home.

Mr. Clarence Donell "Mank" Jefferson, Sr. departed this life September02, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Johnson and Josephine Jefferson; brothers, Ronnie Fuller, Marvin Jefferson, Willie Miles; and sister, Vernita Jefferson.

Clarence was born March 09, 1964 in Marshall, Texas. He accepted God at an early age. He was educated at Marshall Public Schools and graduated from Marshall High School in 1982. After graduation he joined the United States Navy where he served his country with honor for the next 5 years. After his military service he returned home to marry Carolyn Williams. Clarence and Carolyn were married 31 years when he passed. Clarence was a brick mason who worked hard to provide for his family. He was an avid sports fan who loved all sports. Clarence loved his family and friends dearly and will be missed by all who knew him.
