Graveside services for Cleta Joyce Brown (Gran), 81, of Marshall will be held at 2p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2017 in Algoma Cemetery North with Bro. Ron Segers officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown passed away January 11, 2017.

Cleta Joyce (Willborn) Brown was born July 16, 1935 in Knott, Texas, the daughter of Oliver Lee Willborn and Bessie Campbell Willborn. On July 16, 1953, she married Isaac Eugene Brown in Big Springs, Texas. Cleta was a loving and devoted wife for 63 ½ years. She was also a devoted mother, Gran and Great Granny. Cleta was a homemaker and a collector of everything. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

Surviving Cleta are her husband, Isaac Eugene (Gene) "Pappy" Brown of Marshall; son, Anthony (Tony) Brown and his wife, Leilani Kaye Brown of McKinney; daughter, Susan Leigh Brown of Marshall; grandchildren, Jonathan Aaron Brown of College Station, Shelbey Leigh Power of Ore City, Brooke Power and Riley Matthews, of Harleton; great-grandchild, Gatlin Drake Meyer of Ore City; brothers, Norris Lee Willborn of California and Homer Dwight Willborn of Big Springs. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Bessie Willborn.
