Clint
Fried
May 12, 1961 — Dec 25, 2024
Marshall
Clint Lane Fried, born May 12, 1961, in Longview, Texas, passed away on December 25, 2024, at the age of 63 years old.
A lifelong resident of Marshall, TX, Clint was an integral part of the community, from his passionate support of Maverick football to his 41 years of service with AEP Swepco at Knox Lee Power Plant. Throughout the years, Clint devoted ample time to youth athletics, coaching soccer, football, baseball, and basketball. Even after his coaching years were behind him, you would find him on the sidelines of every sporting event within driving distance, cheering the kids on for the love of the game. As an IBEW Union #738 member for over 40 years, Clint made many enduring friendships and served the widespread community through his dedication, caring spirit, and comical antics. Many of these bonds cemented on the green; an avid golfer, Clint loved few things more than playing a round with his golf buddies.
Above all, Clint was a family man. He loved going to concerts with his wife of 43 years, Donna Bulloch Fried, especially if his youngest son, Daniel, was the one performing. He loved visiting his eldest son, Jo and his family, particularly to play with his precious grandbabies who knew him affectionately as, 'Pops'.
Clint is survived by his wife Donna Bulloch Fried; by his son Joseph Fried and wife Lauren and three grandbabies Conley Lane, Kimball Barr and Cooper Claire; by his son Daniel Fried and wife Lisa Alley; by his mother, JoNell Conley Fried; by his brother Mark Fried and wife Janet Currier Fried; by his nephews and nieces Lucas Fried and wife Jenny, Jennifer White and husband Larry, Emily Fried and Hugo Orta; by his brother in law, James Bulloch and wife Jennifer; by his nephew Jay Bulloch; and by many cousins, grand nieces and nephews, and generations of Marshall and East Texas roots. He is preceded in death by his father, Dan Fried.
A Celebration of Life for Clint Fried, of Marshall, Texas will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Downs Funeral Home with his brother, Mark Fried, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or Health Alliance for Austin Musicians in his name.
