A funeral service for Clint Whatley, 41, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2025, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. A visitation for friends and family will be prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.

Clint was born on July 20, 1984, to George Whatley and Suzanne Comer Whatley and entered the gates of heaven on December 10, 2025, in Midland, Texas.

On March 20, 2010, he married the love of his life and best friend Samantha Jo Arledge at First Presbyterian Church in Marshall, Texas. Together they had 15 years of happiness and shenanigans. He was perfect for Sam in every possible way. Together they had several fur babies that would keep them on their toes!

Clint was a graduate of Jefferson High School Class of 2003. He was employed by Profrac-Midland/Odessa as a Facility Trainer, obtained his CDL license. He was not afraid of learning anything new and was basically self-taught. He loved to hunt, fish and travel; along with taking South Texas hunting trips with family.

Clint always lit up the room with his smile, quick wit and never met a stranger. He was the type of person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He took his role of husband, son, brother, uncle, and son-in-law very seriously. His positivity and calming soul will be missed most of all.

He is survived by his parents, George and Suzanne Whatley of Jefferson; his wife Samantha Whatley of Marshall; his fur babies, Coco, Tig, Duke, Koda, Lola, Bella and Ryker; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Vickee Arledge of Marshall; his brother-in-law Brandon Arledge of Marshall; his brothers, Allan Whatley and wife, Mary. Scott Whatley and wife, Tosha of Jefferson along with other family and friends.
