Services for Clinton "Poppa" Hunt, 73, of Hallsville, Texas will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, June 9, 2023, at the Remnant Church, Hwy 259 North, Longview, Texas.

Clinton was born on April 4, 1950, to Paul Melton and Martha Ann Hunt and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 3, 2023, at his home in Hallsville, Texas at the age of 73.

His hobbies included fishing with his grandkids and anyone that would fish with him. He was obsessed with all sports. He was a Dallas Cowboys and LSU fan. He supported every sport every grandchild played. Most of all, he loved his family, loved his life and love the Lord.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Sidney and Ralph Hunt; sister, Karen Ford; son-in-law, Allen Childers and son-in-law, Johnny Barnes.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Anna Hunt; sister, Janeen Parker; daughters, Sabrina Barnes, Beth Smith and husband, Steve Smith; bonus daughters, Tonya Childers and Amanda Gruver and bonus son, Marty Gruver and wife Jamie.  He was blessed with 14 grandchildren and thrilled to have 4 great grandchildren along with numerous other family and friends.
