A celebration of life service will be held for Cornelius Foley, Jr. at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2022, in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Reverend James D. Bell will officiate the service. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022, at the funeral home.

Cornelius Foley, Jr. was born on October 2, 1962 in Port Arthur, TX to the union of Cornelius Foley, Sr. and Lillie Mae Foley.

Cornelius accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Port Arthur, Texas. Cornelius received his formal education in Port Arthur public schools. After graduation, he attended college at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. At the time of his death, Cornelius was employed by Tata Consultancy Services in Dallas, Texas. In 2004, Cornelius met the love of his life, Linda, to whom he was married for 17 years.

Cornelius departed this life on Tuesday, Mach 22, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Mae Foley, his father, Cornelius Foley, Sr., and his sister, Donna Mariah Foley Mercado.

He leaves to cherish his memory:  his loving wife, Linda Foley of McKinney, Texas; mother and father-in-law, Ouida and Edward Hall, Sr. of Marshall, Texas; his brother-in-law, Edward Hall, Jr. (Jennifer) of Carrollton, TX; sister-in-law, Anita Michell Hall of Marshall, TX; two nephews, Edward Hall, III of Dallas, TX and Rondrick Hall of Dallas, TX, and two nieces, Fallon Hall and Saylor Hall of Carrollton, TX.
