Curley Lee Sneed Funeral services for Curley Lee Sneed, 54, of Marshall will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 26, 2013 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Daniels Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery. Mr. Sneed passed away January 19, 2013 in Marshall, Texas. Curley Lee Sneed was born November 23, 1958 in Houston, TX to Calvin and Lee Dorothy Burks Sneed. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1976. Mr. Sneed married Vickie McCray Sneed in 1977. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. Mr. Sneed worked for Marshall Pottery and in the Oilfield until his health failed. Curley never met a stranger, and always extended a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Those left to celebrate and cherish his memory are his wife, Vickie McCray Sneed; his sisters, Gloria James and Lekita Haggerty, both of Marshall, Brenda (Tom) Pentecost of Longview; brothers, Clarence (Venetta) Sneed and Nathaniel Sneed, both of Longview; sisters-in-law, Deloise Lucas, Wilma Graves, and Josephine Mills, all of Marshall; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mr. Sneed was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Lee Dorothy Sneed, and a brother, Patrick Sneed.
