Funeral services will be held for Cynthia Anne Small, 52, of Marshall, at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 28, 2013 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Coburn officiating. Interment will follow at Yates Memorial Cemetery. A time of visitation for friends and family will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Small passed away December 25, 2013 in Longview. Cynthia Anne Small was born March 19, 1961 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John Douglas and Jeanne Apking Cook. She attended Viewmont High School in Bountiful, Utah. Cynthia was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints. She loved gardening, cooking and feeding her cardinals. Surviving Ms. Small is her daughter, Amanda Rainwater and husband Marc of Marshall; son, John Small of Marshall; mother, Jeanne Cook of Bountiful, Utah; brothers, Douglas J. Cook and wife Kathy of Las Vegas, Nevada, Steven Cook of Baltimore, Maryland; sister, Kim Wheelock and husband Troy of Layton, Utah; ex-husband, Jim Small and wife Beverly of Marshall; grandchildren, Michele, Joey and Kathryn Rainwater; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Cynthia was preceded in death by her father and a brother, John Cook.
