Cynthia Lynn Ditmore was born in Shreveport, LA January 11, 1951.  She was the daughter of Lynn and Betty Calhoun.  Cindy passed away on March 14, 2018 at the age of 68.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at New Hebron Baptist Church in Elysian Fields, TX.  Visitation will be held from 10-11a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at New Hebron Baptist Church.

Cindy attended school at Elysian Fields and graduated in 1969.  She was raised in a military family giving her the opportunity to see many places before making Elysian Fields/Panola her home.  She loved to fish, play softball, cooking, drawing, and coloring pictures.  Cindy worked many years for GE in Shreveport, LA until taking a disability leave for her first battle with cancer which was 21 years ago.  "Granny", which she was lovingly called, lived for her son and three grandchildren.  She found so much joy in listening to what they had to say, taking them to appointments, going to their activities, and most of all cooking them their favorite meal.  She was loved by so many nieces, nephews, family and friends. We all know Cindy fought the good fight!

Those she loved dearly and are left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael Ditmore; grandchildren, Cullum, Conner & Carson Ditmore; sister, Sherry & Mike Mayfield; brother, David & Ginger Calhoun; nieces & nephews, Jason (Charlotte) Lewis, Bradley (Lorie) Lewis, Karine (Chance) Courtney, Christol (Gary) Hall, Justin ( Rachel) Calhoun, Lacy Burson, Lynn (Morgan) Calhoun, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors who have taken care of and loved her through her illness for so many years.
