Marshall
Cynthia Layton Wynne, born August 16, 1949, in Marshall, Texas, entered her heavenly home on November 17, 2025, at the age of 76.
She was the beloved daughter of Jim Ike Layton and Marguerite Hutto Layton and a proud 1967 graduate of Marshall High School. On October 26, 1982, she married the love of her life, Hollis K. "Buddy" Wynne, Sr., with whom she shared 43 years of devotion and joy.
Cynthia dedicated much of her career to the Marshall Independent School District, where she served faithfully and retired as Administrative Director of the Transportation Department. Following retirement, she continued serving her community through her work at Texas Farm Bureau Insurance in Marshall.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Marguerite Layton, and her in-laws, Ray and Rudine Maddox.
Cynthia leaves behind a legacy of love through her family; her husband, Buddy; children, Buddy Wynne Jr. and wife, Amy, Michael Robinson and wife, Beth and Amanda Payne and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Jake Robinson and wife, Samantha, Tori Morrow and husband, Cody, Brody Wynne and wife, Mary Beth, Hollye Wynne, Layton Fancher and Lillian Smith; great-grandchildren, Easton and Sadie Robinson; brother, Jimmy Layton and wife, Sue; sisters, Margaret Layton and Mary Jane Deason and husband, W.C.; brother -in-law, Bill Wynne and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and cherished friends.
She was a devoted member of Walnut Springs Baptist Church in DeBerry, where her church family was as dear to her as her own. Cynthia's greatest joy was her family, and her absence leaves a profound void in the lives of all who loved her.
