A funeral service for Mr. David Jordan "Bubba" Irvine", 52, of Marshall, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Colonial Gardens Cemetery.  A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 8, 2024, at the funeral home.

On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, David Jordan "Bubba" Irvine passed peacefully from this life at home surrounded by family.

He was born on April 16, 1972, in Merryville, Louisiana to Ingia Humble and Darrell C. Irvine. His birthplace held some of his happiest childhood memories.

He was raised in Marshall, Texas where he was a 1990 graduate of Marshall High School and attended Panola College.

He spent most of his adult life driving a dump truck for various companies and lovingly called himself a "Natural Resource Relocation Technician." A little over a year ago Bubba and his family began attending Nesbitt Baptist Church where he had planned to become a member before his health began to deteriorate.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Remington Jace and Jaxson Ridge; his father, Darrell Clyde Irvine; father-in-law, Jack Bolt; brother-in-law, Jason Bolt and grandparents, Jimmy and Lucille Humble and Sylvia and Clyde Irvine.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 25 years, Shonda Bolt Irvine of Marshall, Tx; mother, Ingia Humble Parish of Marshall, Tx; mother-in-law, Betty Bolt of Marshall, Tx; sister-in-law, Christy Bolt Fletcher, and his babies, Kaylee, Conner and Kolten (niece and nephews).

Bubba is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and too many friends to list by name.

If you were blessed to know Bubba, you loved him and his Texas-sized heart.
