A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for David Justin Heath, Sr., 72, of Marshall, at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 12, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Denzil Vithanage officiating. Interment will follow in Yates Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Scottsville. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Heath passed away March 7, 2015, in Marshall. David Justin Heath, Sr. was born January 16, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to William F. Heath, Sr. and Dolores Sieve Heath. He was a Sr. Water Plant Tech for Thiokol's Water Plant. David married Janna Wilson on October 5, 1962 in Marshall. He enjoyed sports and spending time with his wife and family. David was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians and the Boston Bruins Hockey team. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Surviving David are his wife, Janna Heath of Marshall; children, Diana Ward and husband Charles of Longview, David Heath Jr. and wife Angelina of Rockwall, John Heath and wife Raelyn and Stephen Heath and wife Paula, all of Marshall; sister, Marilyn Dillehay and husband David of Marshall; brothers, Dennis Heath and Steve Heath and wife Linda, all of Marshall; 9 grandchildren, Jeremy Bean, Clay Heath, Ashlee Peralez, Jessica Ward, Jennifer Bean, Eric Heath, Kristen Heath, Kelsey Heath and Travis Heath; great grandchildren, Matthew Heath, Trace Heath, Aria Heath, Madison Burt, Tessa Peralez and Seth Heath; and other extended family and friends. Preceding David in death were his parents; 3 brothers, Paul Heath, Bill Heath, Michael (Mike) Heath; and 1 sister, Laverne Hogan.
