David Dana Strnad entered this world on November 17, 1959, and on March 30, 2019, he walked thru the gates of Heaven.  He leaves behind his loving wife, Amalia; son, Christopher; son, Ben and wife, Lynsey; and two grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Nancy Strnad Head; siblings Russ, Kerri, Eric and Dan, along with their wives; and many nieces and nephews. His father, Russell Strnad, passed away in 2011.

A native of Marshall, Texas, David graduated with honors from Marshall High School in 1977. David was a leader, serving as drum major and participating in Texas Boys State. David earned his degree from Stephen F. Austin University in 1981, with honors. He worked as an accountant for a variety of businesses, and was a Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA). David's last position was as the Comptroller for Slip Doctors.

David's death followed a sudden diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. The funeral service will be held at 2:30p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019 with family receiving friends from 10-11:30a.m. prior to the service which will be conducted at Downs Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Vanbiber officiating.
