A memorial service for David Lee Tate will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in Waskom, Texas at Faith Baptist Church with Bro. Doug Lovett officiating.

David Tate was born July 16, 1958 to the late William T. Tate and Gladys Goad in Battle Creek, Michigan and passed away on August 8, 2021 in Longview, Texas.

Mr. Tate worked as a carpenter  and a painter for many years. He loved football, especially the Waskom Wildcats and he was a major Nascar fan. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Waskom, Texas.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; daughters, Alicia Tate and Megan Meredith and a grandson, Mahlyk Stephens.

He is survived by three children; Amanda Meredith (Ekeem), Kyle Tate and spouse, Emilee and Devin Tate, two special step children; Jimmy Meredith and Danielle Meredith Meeks, siblings; Ronnie Tate, Raymond Tate, Danny Tate, Karen Tate Wood, Pamela Tate Babcock and Debbie Benton, eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and his special friend Alan "Pops."
