A funeral service for Mr. Wynn will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 2:00p.m. in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will be held at St. Johns Cemetery.

Deland Wynn Sr., son of the late Henderson and Dessie Wynn was born December 14, 1943 in Shreveport, La.

He was educated in Caddo Parish Public Schools.

At an early age, he accepted Christ and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Panola,   Texas. He later was added to New Point Church of Christ where he attended until his health began to fail.

He peacefully entered eternal rest December 21, 2020 at UT Health Center in Tyler, Tx.

He retired from United Gas of 25 years. He wore many hats as a working citizen such as mechanical and electrical work, carpentry, plumbing, and  commercial truck driving.

He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and firing up the barbecue pit.

His loving wife of 56 years Jennie V. Wynn. One daughter: Teresa (Cedric Sr.) Humble; Four sons: Deland (Vanessa) Wynn Jr., Gerald Wynn, Kelvin (Lisa)Wynn, and Richard (Nikki)Wynn. Two brothers: Jerry (Gladys)Wynn and Charles Wynn.

12 Grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  Those left to cherish his memory are other loving family members and friends
