A funeral service for Mrs. Della Bee Wilhoit, 97, of Spring, Texas will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Downs Funeral Home. D.W. McClendon will officiate the service. Interment in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.

Della Bee Wilhoit was born on November 30, 1923 to her parents, Walter Mack Pierce and Mae Harris. Mrs. Wilhoit passed away on June 13, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was a very active member of her church, Eastern Hills. She enjoyed helping with Sunday School and the children. Her priorities were church, family, and home. Mrs. Wilhoit was a dedicated worker who always had a job and worked hard to help provide for her family. She helped everyone she could. She and her husband owned a DQ. Mrs. Wilhoit enjoyed quilting and made beautiful quilts. She loved her family and never had a cross word.

Mrs. Wilhoit is survived by her daughter, Sandra Schleicher and spouse Charles; sister, Marie Wilson; grandchildren, Dalonna Hunt and spouse Hank, Robbie Cross and spouse Jeff, William White and spouse Marty; eight great-grandchildren, nine great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Mrs. Wilhoit is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mae Pierce; loving husband, Melvin Floyd Wilhoit; siblings, George Pierce, Vernon Pierce, Clara Thomas, Lora Milligan; great-grandchild, Kari Hunt.
