A memorial service for Delores Armstrong Roden, 79, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 6, 2023, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel.

Delores was born on March 26, 1944, in Marshall, Texas to Fred W. McMullen and Lorene Pritchett and passed away on July 27, 2023, at her residence in Marshall.

She loved cats and dogs and loved saving all animals. She took high pride in her appearance and was a beautician for 50 plus years. She was a long-time member of Central Baptist Church. Most of all she loved her boys and grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lorene McMullen; brother, Ronnie McMullen and brother-in-law, Charles Campbell.

She is survived by her children, Wesley Michael Armstrong and wife, Rebecca, David Mitchell Armstrong and Jason Edward Armstrong and wife, Jacki; sister, Freida Campbell; grandchildren, Dylan Armstrong, Jace Armstrong, Gage Armstrong and Blake Andrews; great grandchild, Nixon Andrews and her pet and best friend, Bonnie along with numerous other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her honor to Pet Place in Marshall, Texas.
