A Funeral service for Delphine Gordon, 58, of Waskom will be held at 10:00a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Old Border Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Gordon passed away peacefully at her home in Waskom, TX on April 1, 2017.

Delphine Gordon was born October 28, 1958 in Marshall to Roosevelt Fields and Erie Lee Daniels. She began attending services at Old Border Baptist Church at an early age. Delphine received her education from Waskom public schools. She later married the love of her life, James Lewis Gordon. They have been married 41 years. She loved tending to her garden and reading, but most of all she loved her family and was the center of their world.

Those left to cherish her memory is her husband, James and their children, Stacy Minter and husband, Donald, Tracy Williams and husband, Morgan, Anthony Gordon, James Gordon, Jr. and wife, Audrey, Stephanie Gordon, and DaMarcus Gordon; her Siblings: Jeffery Daniels and wife, Dorothy, Michael Daniels, Darrell Daniels and wife, Belinda, Nora Daniels, Angela Daniels and Gloria Martin and husband, Tommy, and various nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her older brother, and one daughter, Jamie.
