A funeral service for Denver "LeRoy" Oney, 73, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 11, 2025, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Harleton, Texas. Interment will follow at Piney Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the Church.

Denver was born on June 15, 1952, in Harleton, Texas to William Heskell Oney and Francis Victoria Smith Oney and passed away on August 7, 2025, in Marshall, Texas.

He married Wanda Louise Smith Oney on August 17, 1973, and the two were married for 39 years until her passing. His hobbies included riding four wheelers, fishing, camping, boat riding and hunting. He was an avid outdoorsman. Most of all he loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Louise Smith Oney; parents, William and Francis Oney; five brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his children, Jesse Oney and wife, Sarah, Vicky Heck and husband, Walter and Jeremy Oney and wife, Sydney; grandchildren, Dakota Oney and wife, Lauren, Katelynn Oney and boyfriend, Ron, Sweet Pea, Clayton, Elizabeth, Travis; great grandchildren, Stefen, Baileigh, Alyssa, Bredan and Justin; extra children, Dave and Debra, Shauna, Shane and bonus grandchildren, Clay and Sydney and many others.
