Devin DeJe'an Newson was born April 14, 1996 in Marshall, Texas to Dequiece Newson and Jason Bowens. Devin was very fortunate to have two fathers. In 2002, Dequiece married Paul McFarland. Paul was a     loving, kind and giving father to Devin his entire life.

Devin attended elementary and high school in Longview, Texas. He graduated from Longview High School in 2015. He was employed by Whataburger of East Texas. He was very crafty and loved working with his hands. He loved family, friends, kids and animals, especially horses. Devin was a kind, loving, respectful and industrious young man. Devin was a lover of outdoors and nature. He was always willing to help when and wherever he was needed, with our without pay. Devin had a smile. that would light up a room and a hug that would warm your soul. No one is without fault, but who amongst us is? Granted, Devin was no angel, but he was "our" Angel. Devin, like all of us strived to be a better person. In our opinion, Devin has left us way too soon. We will miss him dearly. We are rejoicing in the way that he touched all of us, by cherishing all of our fun times together, special moments and impressionable love that Devin shared with us. He will always be a ray of sunshine in our hearts. When you think of Devin, remember his infectious smile.

Devin is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dorothy   Newson and Joe Newson; maternal grandfather, Mayfield Bowens; uncle, Dexter Campbell and aunt, Alecia Bowens.
