A graveside funeral service for Diana S. Brown, 72, of Waskom will be held at 2:00p.m., Sunday, September 17, 2017 in Restland Cemetery, Waskom, Texas with Pastor, Doug Lovett officiating. Visitation with family and friends will take place Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Downs Funeral Home from 5:00p.m. – 7:00p.m.

Diana Billingsley Brown was born April 01, 1945 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Elmer and Adeline Billingsley. Diana was known and will be remembered as a kind, giving, and loving woman. She enjoyed crochet, sewing, and crafts, and would often give her creations to family and friends. Gardening was also a favorite pastime, even though she struggled to keep plants alive. While Diana didn't have much of a green thumb, she more than made up for that with her baking. She often used the holidays as an excuse to bake cakes and cookies to share with her family. Diana was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her grandchildren, especially her diaper babies. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Surviving Diana is her husband of 20 years, Sonny Brown; daughters, Tammy Joplin and Christie Robinson; grandchildren, Haley Woodall, Victoria Holder, and Nicole Wright; great-grandchildren, Kristine Wright, Chelsea Wright, and Raelynn Woodall. Also surviving Diana is her uncle, Freddie Crofford and numerous extended family members and friends.
