Dick Meadows, age 83, of Avinger, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026 surrounded by loved ones.

Born on March 15, 1943, in Alma, Arkansas, Dick was the beloved husband of Frances Nolan Meadows and a devoted father, grandfather, sibling and friend. He spent many years as a Production Superintendent for Alcoa, CPI and Thiokol and was well known for his leadership and loyalty to his employees.

Dick found joy in his love for baseball and many other sports. Some of the specific things he enjoyed were fishing, golfing, throwing washers, darts, and corn hole. Those who knew him will remember him for his keen sense of humor, his exceptional love for others, his passionate and
competitive nature. He also loved his God and River Crossing Cowboy Church. His patriotism for America was unsurpassed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Meadows and Katherine White Meadows; his wife, Ann Meadows and his brother, James David Meadows.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Meadows; children, Terri Loper, David Meadows, Jay Silliman and Tia Silliman-Parsley; stepchildren, Janice Cromer, Basiel R. George, Judy Murphy and Carol Wright; grandchildren, Jesse Loper, Micha Loper, Meagan Loper, Jake Meadows, Cole Silliman, Myah Silliman, Kade Silliman, Trista Muse, Catherine Murphy, Allison Wright, Amber Cromer and Carly Murphy; grand dogs, Piper, Molly and Rizzy Silliman and a number of great grandchildren along with other family and friends.

Though deeply missed, Dick's love, kindness, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
