A funeral service for Dolores Johnson Hartley, 87, of Marshall, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 17, 2022, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Colonial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2022, at the funeral home.

Dolores was born on February 13, 1935, in Bauxite, Arkansas to Abe Johnson and Willie Hightower Johnson and passed away on September 14, 2022, in Marshall, Texas.

She was a member of the Texas Cloggers, Order of Eastern Star Marshall Chapter #356 and a member of Crossroads Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling the world with her Eastern Star friends, clogging, tap dancing and baking cakes for weddings. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Willie Johnson; husband, Thomas Hartley, Sr.; son, Thomas Hartley, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Debra Jones Hartley.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Tammy Hartley Beasley and husband, Randy of Marshall, Tx; great grandchildren, Laci Beasley Lee and husband, Terry of Mt. Enterprise, Tx; Christina Beasley Wright and husband, Dustin, Zachariah Beasley and Ada Beasley all of Marshall, Tx and great great grandson, Noah Wright.

In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made in her honor to the Eastern Chapter #356 of Marshall, Texas.
