Graveside services for Don H. Rogers, 82, of Texarkana, AR, will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 5, 2014 at East Memorial Gardens, 6230 E. Broad Street, Texarkana, AR. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held at Texarkana Funeral Home-Arkansas, 4801 Parkway Drive, Texarkana, AR from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2014. Mr. Rogers passed away April 1, 2014 in Texarkana. Services are under the direction of Mr. Rogers' daughter, Patricia Downs and Downs Funeral Home of Marshall. Don Howard Rogers was born August 16, 1931 in Stamps, AR to C.C. and Rachael Elouise Westerfield Rogers. Mr. Rogers married Patsy Jean Varner on June 6, 1950. She preceded him in death on June 20, 2011. Mr. Rogers owned a dairy farm for many years. He was also an Arkansas State Trooper, worked for Natural Gas & Pipeline, and in later years, he and his family owned wholesale greenhouses. Mr. Rogers loved camping, and was a member of Miniature Horse Association. Surviving Mr. Rogers are his children, Patricia and Keith Downs of Marshall, TX, Peggy and Paul Woodrich of Ewing, KY, Mary and Scott Merryman of Alexandria, LA, Don and Cheryl Rogers of Texarkana, AR; grandchildren, Casey Downs Bulaclac, Alex Rogers, Paul Merryman; great grandchildren, Raini, Aaron and Tory Bulaclac; and brother, Allen Rogers of Texarkana, AR.
