Funeral Services for Don L. Singletary, 64, of Waskom, Texas, will be held at 10:00am Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Strickland Springs Baptist Church, Waskom, Texas. Viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m., prior to the service at the church. In His wise and loving way, God chose to call home Bro. Don L. Singletary October 20, 2015. He was born May 1, 1951 in Waskom, Texas to Deacon Albert Singletary Sr. and Bernice Sneed Singletary. Don united with the Strickland Springs Baptist Church at an early age under Pastor President Noel where he also attended Sunday school and served as Junior Usher. He attended Elysian Fields High School. He worked in the food service and cleaning service industries. Don was married to Marilyn Singletary and to this union no children were born. Those left to cherish his memories are his father, Albert Singletary Sr. of Waskom; brother, Henderson Singletary of Marshall; sisters, Dorothy Johnson of Shreveport, LA, Rosetta Bennett and Clara Ahmed both of Chula Vista, CA, Teressa Moore of Los Angeles, CA and Guindolyn Robinson and Marilyn Chandler both of Waskom and special friend, Jeannette Sawyerr as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Singletary; sisters, Eileen Singletary and Marie Edwards; brothers, Albert Singletary Jr. and Carl (Jake) Singletary and his nephew, Cory.
