A memorial service for Don Oney, Sr. will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 20, 2022, in the Little Chapel By The Lake at Colonial Gardens Cemetery.

Willard Don Oney, Sr., was born on May 26, 1950, in Marshall, Texas to Lloyd Oney and Mary Lillian Clark Oney and passed away on October 14, 2022, in Longview, Texas.

He married Teresa Gail Anderson on August 14, 1971, in Marshall, Texas and the two remained married until his passing. He worked as a millwright, mechanic, floor hand, derrick hand and truck driver. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a stepfather and one brother, Charles Ray Oney.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Oney; children, Willard Don Oney, Jr. and wife, Simmie, Amanda Oney Skinner and husband, Michael and Wendy Oney Fontenot and husband, Rob; grandchildren, Casey Oney, Austyn Oney, Aunie Lewis, Justin Skinner, Jessica Garrett, Sydney Skinner, Corbin Fontenot, Sawyer Fontenot and Sam Fontenot; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Jeanette Oney Click, Roger Dale Oney, Jimmy Lee Oney, Evelyn Oney Anderson and Brenda Oney Vargas and his fishing partner and best friend, Larry Davidson among numerous other family and friends.
