A funeral service for Mr. Donald Reeves will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Downs Funeral Home. Bro. Matthew Paul will officiate the service. Burial will be at Colonial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home.

Donald Reeves, 73, of Marshall, Texas was born on May 19, 1947 in Tyler, Texas to his parents, Edgar Marion Reeves and Lorraine Ballweg Reeves. Mr. Reeves passed away on January 31, 2021.

Donald enjoyed classic cars and car shows, as well as traveling and taking motorcycle trips. He also had a love for food and enjoyed baking, chili cookoffs, and Tuesday Tacos at Dairy Queen. He had a passion for creating and designing beautiful jewelry for his business. His family was his life and he loved his friends and never met a stranger. He was a Mason and a member of the Rusty Lug Nuts Car Club. Mr. Reeves was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church where he also served.

Mr. Reeves is survived by his children, Butch Reeves, Tiffany Tamplin and spouse, John, Crystal Stephens and spouse, Michael; one brother, Charles Reeves and spouse, Mary Lou, and one sister, Mary Cooper; grandchildren, Amber Beshers, Whitney Burrow, Jeremy Boen, Christian Davis, Jordan Stephens, Kyndal Stephens, Peyton LaGrone, Trystan Stephens, Sadie LaGrone, Gunnar Tamplin, and Sebastian Stephens; ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Johnnie Lynn "Su-Su" Moore Reeves, parents, Edgar and Lorraine Reeves; daughter, Wendolyn Reeves Boen; brother-in-law, Bill Cooper.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the general fund at Friendship Baptist Church.
