Donald A. Tyson was born April 9, 1941 in Los Angeles, California and passed away October 10, 2015 in Marshall, Texas. He was the son of George Sylvester Tyson and Ethel Kastle Tyson. He worked as a truck driver and married Retha Monteze Green on September 16, 1976 in Lovington, New Mexico. Survivors are his wife, Retha Green Tyson of Marshall; daughters, Doris Caldwell of Longview, Texas, Carla Thompson of Scottsville, Texas, Shelly and Joe Arnold of Big Spring, Texas; sons, Donald Dyer of Austell, Georgia, Troy and Sharla Tyson of Wolforth, Texas, and Travis Tyson of Marshall, Texas. Also surviving Mr. Tyson are 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren with three on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ethel Tyson; his sister, Arleen Robarge; two brothers, Ken and Ralph Tyson; granddaughter, Lauren Tyson, and two sons-in-law, Leroy Thompson, and Ronny Caldwell.
