Donna Marie
"Gaudy" Lancaster
Feb 14, 1963 — Aug 16, 2026
Marshall
Donna Lancaster, 63, of Marshall, Texas was born on February 14, 1963, in Houston, Texas and passed away on August 16, 2026, at her home in Marshall.
Donna was a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, and will be remembered for her creative spirit, generous heart, and deep love for both people and animals.
She had a special gift for making life more beautiful. Crafting was one of her great joys, and she poured that talent into handmade wreaths, cards, and gifts for others. She was artsy, talented, and happiest when creating something meaningful to share. She also enjoyed selling her handmade items at local booths, but the real joy was always in giving.
She will also be remembered for her lifelong love of animals. She welcomed and cared for many over the years, including dogs, cats, horses, goats, ducks, chickens, miniature ponies, donkeys, hedgehogs, pot-bellied pig, and even flying squirrels. She found happiness simply in watching horses run in the pasture and in making room for every creature she could love.
Disney World held a special place in her heart, and so did live music and adventure. She celebrated her 60th birthday at Disney World and, later in life, embraced doing the things she loved for herself. She recently enjoyed being front row at a Yungblud concert, a reflection of her fun-loving spirit and independence.
She was also a devoted supporter of her son, spending long weekends at the baseball field cheering him on. Her love showed up in steady, practical ways — by being there, by encouraging others, and by giving of herself so freely.
Her absolute sunshine in life was her granddaughter, Annie, who brought her joy and happiness and immense pride.
Her legacy will live on in the many things she made by hand, the memories she created, and the love she gave so openly. It will also continue through the keepsakes and stories that will help future generations know and remember her
She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Covin; stepfather, John Covin; grandparents, Olen and Marguerite Fyffe and uncles, James and David Fyffe.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Lancaster of Marshall, TX; son, Josh Lancaster of Northlake, TX; daughter in law, Aimee Lancaster of Northlake, TX; granddaughter, Annie Lancaster of Northlake, TX; sister, Debra Hernandez of Commerce, TX; niece, Jessica Hernandez; nephew, Trey Hernandez; father, Donald Williams of Sioux City Iowa; poodle, Remington long with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and "Blud Sisters."
