A memorial service for Donna Snyder, 61, of Marshall, will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2013 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. John Bayliss will officiate. Interment will follow at New Prospect Cemetery, Jefferson, TX. Ms. Snyder passed away October 16, 2013 at her residence. Donna Maxwell Snyder was born October 19, 1951 in Marshall to Donald and Eloyce Kendrick Maxwell. She was a 1969 graduate of Marshall High School. Donna had owned and operated Donna G's Nail Salon for 15 years. She attended Trinity Episcopal Church, Agape and Vinyard Non-denominational Church in Florida. After marrying the love of her life, Donna and DH moved to Florida to enjoy retirement, make new friends and play tennis. Donna recently moved back to her home town of Marshall, TX after DH's passing to reunite with her life long friends. Donna is survived by her daughters, Katie Karsten of Anchorage, AK, Kasey Garcia of Lewisville, TX; step-mother, Wanda Cureton of Marshall; step-father, Sonny Moore of AR; step-sister, Marty Roberts of Tyler, TX; grandchildren, Oakley Jackson, Gunner Karsten and Gage Karsten; and best friend, Glenda Marsh of Marshall Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Maxwell and Eloyce Kendrick Maxwell; and husband, Dudley H. Snyder III.
