A memorial service for Doris Robinson, 70, of Marshall, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2015, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Sister Doris Robinson was born February 23, 1945 to Brice and Ella Doris Robinson. At an early age, she accepted Christ and was a member of the New Boggy Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. She was the salutatorian of her class. Doris attended Wiley College for 2 years, and became ill. Sister Doris Robinson departed this life on Monday, June 29, 2015 in Marshall, Texas at Oak Manor Hospice facility. To cherish her memories she leaves her sister, Rev. Glenda Sneed; aunt, Signora Writt of DeBerry, Texas; her favorite niece, Gloria Ann Sneed (Ambrose); her nephews, Keith Jerome Sneed (Selena), Michael Dwayne Sneed (Demetrius); a large number of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
