Graveside funeral services for Dorothy Davis, 80 of Marshall will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Algoma North Cemetery in Marshall under the direction of Downs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, February 26th. Ms. Davis passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 in Longview. Dorothy Watson Davis was born in Marshall, Texas on December 16, 1933 to Edgar Marion Watson and Dora Harriet Clarke Watson. She attended Marshall schools, and was a member of First Methodist Church in Marshall. Dorothy loved to dance, go out to eat, loved to host gatherings at her home, and loved her family. She is survived by her daughter, Jeannie McMillan and husband Dewayne of Marshall; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, six brothers, and a grandson Jason Eric McMillan.
