Dorothy Mae Brown Grabener was born in Shreveport, Louisiana August 6th of 1928 to her parents, John and Mae Brown.  She united in marriage with the love of her life, Vance Grabener March 13th of 1943; they were happily married for 68 years. Dorothy worked at Shriners Children Hospital and Virginia Nursing Care.

Surviving Mrs. Garbener are her four sons, Donnie Vance Grabener of Shreveport, LA, Dannie Edward Grabener of Elysian Fields, TX, Dennie Joe Grabener of Karnack, TX, and David Wayne Grabener of Shreveport, LA.; eight daughters, Mary Farell of Shreveport, LA, Jeanie Owen and husband Arnold of Shreveport, LA, Linda Haney of Elysian Fields, TX, Patricia Lindsey and husband Bobby of Elysian Fields, TX, Brenda Tauzin of Logansport, LA, Shirley Brister and husband Danny of Elysian Fields, TX, Rebecca Shooley of Elysian Fields, TX, and Tammy Barras and husband Geoff of Elysian Fields, TX. Also surviving Mrs. Grabener are her 103 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding Mrs. Grabener in death are her husband, Vance Grabener; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Brister, and Faith Brister; great-grandson, Trenton Lindsey.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Jefferson, Paul Brister, Bobby Brister, Steven Jefferson, Eric Grabener, and Mark Eddins.
