Dorothy Howle was born April 12, 1931 in Pittsburg, Texas to H.H. Beckham and Vida Jewell Beckham. She was raised a Baptist and continued to practice her faith throughout her life. Many will remember Dorothy from her years working at Thiokol. In her free time, Dorothy could often be found tending to her gardens. She had a green thumb when it came to raising flowers and vegetables, especially tomatoes. Dorothy's companion and friend, her little dog Prissy, was always by her side. Crafting was a passion for Dorothy, so much so she volunteered much of her free time to the craft shop in the mall. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many.
Those left to cherish the memories of Dorothy Woods Howle are her children, Ted Woods, Sr. and wife Kathy, Judy Laughlin and husband, Fred, Vickie Dowdell and husband, Scott, and Eddie Woods, Sr; her sister, Peggy Crosson; grandchildren, Ted Woods, Jr, David Rutledge, Jr, Tammy Hill, Casey Laughlin, Cindy Woods, Ashley Arnold, Carissa Laughlin, Eddie Woods, Jr, Destinee Dowdell, and Hunter Dowdell; great-grandchildren, Jordan Rutledge, Kaylee Rutledge, Dakota Laughlin, Celsi Cisco, Madasyn Cisco, Brendyn Hopper, Kaydon Arnold, Devon Arnold, Baylee Cisco, Joe Cisco, III, Ryan Hill, and Lanie Woods. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
