Dorothy May "Dottie" Lynch was born July 17, 1932 in Storm Lake, Iowa to Leo and Glenny Grosvenor. Dorothy was a writer, entrepreneur, and investigative reporter. She was a friend to all and always had a smile to share, but her most important role was that of a mother. She raised and nurtured four children whom she loved dearly. Dorothy served with many local organizations; she was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Marshall and was a faithful woman of God.

Those left to cherish the Memory of Dorothy are her four children, Matthew Lynch, III, Michael Lynch, Kevin Lynch, and Kathleen Lynch Breidinger; sister, Kathy Johnson; grandchildren, Heather Hayes, Morgan Hammontree, Hunter Hammontree, Shona Lynch, Taylor Lynch, Emily Lynch, Holly Lynch, Maya Lynch, and Caden Breidinger as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
