Doug was born October 4, 1951 in Marshall, to Donald "Red" and Jane Golden. He was very passionate about serving as Deacon at New Hebron Baptist Church. He was honored as an Eagle Scout, 32nd Degree Mason, Shriner, and 1st Fire Chief at Elysian Fields Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed an afternoon at the golf course with friends. Doug loved his family more than anything. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Donald Joe Golden.
