Dovie was born in Marshall to William McKinley Allen and Edavie Marie Hineman Allen on September 16, 1946. She married Johnny Sanders on June 23, 1977 in Arkansas. She worked for Krogers as a file clerk for twenty-six years. She loved to fish. She is survived by her husband of thirty-three years Johnny Sanders, Sr. of Marshall, three sons Don Davidson & wife Maria of Waskom, Johnny Wayne Sanders, Jr. & wife Cindy of Harleton, Jeffery Carroll Davidson & wife Stacy of Marshall, daughter Kay Lynn Sanders Oney & husband Lonnie of Woodlawn, eight grandchildren Brittany Paige Davidson, Kyle Wayne Oney, Jaimey Lynn Tamplin, Hunter Louis Smith, Madison Marie Oney, Elizabeth Louann Sanders, Justin Cole Davidson, Ashlyn Nicole Davidson, her sister Ann Bledsoe of Longview, and her faithful companion Gracie Mae.
